Bonilla to Cooperstown

From MLB.com:

"During a Major League career that spanned 16 seasons, Bobby Bonilla was one of the most feared switch-hitters in the game. And, as evidenced by the fact that he appeared in the postseason with five different teams from 1990 to 2000, Bonilla was a winner.

Now, five years after his retirement, Bonilla is hoping to be immortalized in the hallowed halls of Cooperstown."

..........

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!

I know. The idea that Bonilla is even in the conversation is laughable.

The standards of the Hall have gone down over the years, and a lot of silly writers get to vote. I still have faith that the voters will laugh this one off and move on.

There's still just enough credibility left to hold on by a fingernail. ;)
